So played some 50max 6max with my short buyin of 10 bucks, flipped that over after a buy in or two to be up 10. Then i sat in hu with my 13 dollars, usual buy in amount. A few hands in I get a str8 flush vs two pair and double up, build that stack up to 50 bucks and have a interesting hand.
99xx vs a8xx flop comes down 945 two clubs, I raise he repops I push and he calls of course with his nut flush draw. Turn completes and i get no house. Back to the drawing board, build up to another 40. I was stealing a lot of pots in position mostly with a bet on the flop to take down small flops. I was changing my bet sizing preflop a lot between limps and 4 betting. For the longest time I was in pretty good control and he would only play his big hands on me. I was able to steal a fair amount of time on the river when i missed. Later in the round after he caught me a few times with 2 pair on a missed draw. So he started to change gears opening his range and started to check raise me a few times. By then end of the round i was tired and pulling for strings and went out even for the session.
Some things that I learned is that I haven't been opening up my hand ranges vs constant button raises. I 3 bet occasionally but a lot of times get called. Supposedly preflop your allowed to play most hands hu. I was a little tighter and the only time i would win would be big hand vs big hand. For the longest time he would fold to my min bet preflop. After a while I think i became predictable and was using the same moves without changing gears.
After that a little mad stuck with my 60 br on ftp and still waiting on my rakeback, I started reading plo poker by jeff hwang. Got through all the 8-20card str8 draws and then to the starting hands. I figured out why people love wraps, I always thought they kill your outs, but in reality it gives u redraws to the nuts with wraps. Also just learning the basics in preflop hands and learning that a lot of crap that I played was crap, He's pretty tight in the book and i have no problem following that as i learn this game. I think i leveled last night giving me a better idea of what hands to start with and the ability of putting specific players on certain hand ranges based on there past and actions throughout the hand.
Hopefully I can get a little hot streak and get a withdraw, I am uber broke and still in the 2 digits in my bank account.

This is a new section in my life, one that I hope will bring me much happiness and success. It all revolves around the Game of Pot Limit Omahadizzle. Somethign I have dabbled in for the last couple of years and am ready to make the jump. Can't beat online nlhe so here we go, plo is here and right now still full of fish. I'm going to get my ace in line and get the fish while there still there.
I've been playing mostly 25max and 50max hu. It's had some ups and downs and for the most part I see me getting better day to day. Am i good. Have no idea, couple little spew sessions and short buyins has kept me around the 5-15buyin area.
Today i had an interesting couple of sessions. One was a hu where i bought in for 13 and played a player with a full 50 buyin. Couple hands in I flip with him with a one suit 3-6 wrap vs his aaxx. I flopped a straight and went from there sitting around 30. Another big pot where i had the nut flush vs his flopped set and that held where i was sitting on 60$. Played some more hands with him and realized that i had figured out his range for the most part, as he raised everything on the button and i didn't defend as much as a I should. I was trying to control pot size with my limps and all my 4 bets got called so no reason to change up yet.
At a certain point i was down to 50$ from the $70 i was at previouly. As this was a large percentage of my br (33%) i left the table even though i though i was good enough to keep winining off him. Later i built up a nice stack of 80 from a 13$ buying at a 50max table. there was a massive donk playing most hands and I evened watched him play some 55$ sng's vs another player as I wanted to jump on any table i could. I got up to that 80 when he called me down with a k of diamonds for a non flush to give me my stack. After his sng's (both which he won in a donktastic fashion (nlhe) he started playing better and i was down to 50 so i left there.
not sure where i'm going next i'm at 7 buyins for 25max, but will try to grind out as much as I can because the rake is pretty nice in plo 25max. I know there are soft games if i can have some decent br management and increase my skill level with research, reading, forums, and play time.
